At the Japanese Red Cross of Nursing the human caring theory of nursing propounded by Dr. Jean Watson offers ideas for the English curriculum. Teaching nonverbal communication as a from of cross-culture communication and teaching short conversational strategies can help nursing students become more sensitive and responsive to speakers from other cultures.
